The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) organizes a series of monthly guest lectures in the International Research House in Neuville. Foreign guest researchers, who stay at the university for one month or more, are invited to present their research work, focusing on cross-scientific issues and also social and scientific applications.
These conferences target a broad public of researchers that goes beyond the necessarily limited scope of disciplinary seminars. Hosting renowned guest international researchers favors generalist cross-disciplinary discussions between colleagues who work in different laboratories but share converging scientific interests.
