Second spring school of Digital Humanities

03.03.2020 - 05.03.2020

Venue: L'Isle Adam

The theme of digital humanities has emerged in recent years in the projects and works at CY. The formalization of this emergence was carried out with the creation of the Institute for Digital Humanities in 2018. This research federation aims to bring together the forces present in this field, and to stimulate initiatives, particularly in research training in this area. In this sense, the IDHN Spring School, which we wish to institute on a recurring basis, aims to train researchers and young researchers, by offering them the possibility of knowing and understanding the most recent projects and representative in the field. This training involves immersion in international perspectives, and therefore requires an international dimension. In 2019, the invitation of Professor Jean-Guy Meunier, professor of digital humanities at UQAM, and member of the Academy of Philosophy of Science, made it possible to lay epistemological foundations. The 2nd school wishes to extend this dynamic, and to offer even more a context of collaboration for setting up projects in digital humanities. Openings to history, robotics, and DeepLearning, will be introduced. Particular attention will be paid to digital humanities in the context of literature projects that have been successfull in the international context.
