"Fulbright - Université Paris Seine": academic exchange program for students and researchers

12.11.2017 - 02.01.2018

On 11 December 2017, Paris-Seine University and the French-American Commission for Academic Partnerships signed a partnership agreement setting up the “Fulbright - Université Paris Seine” program, which aims to facilitate academic and cultural exchanges between students, teachers, and researchers from the United States and France.

"Fulbright - Université Paris Seine" aims to implement a yearly exchange program enabling on one hand American students, teachers and researchers to be welcomed into one of the Paris Seine Initiative partner institutions, and on the other hand to support PhD students from the Paris Seine University doctoral schools during their stays in American universities and research institutes.

For applicants from the United States, the program provides annual funding for:

  • one or two American researchers, for a total of 10 months of available grants;
  • three first- or second-year Master’s students (funding renewable for the second year);
  • one Fulbright Specialist: experts with experience (holders of a PhD or of a similar level), with major professional, scientific, or artistic achievements, who engage in one or several of the university’s activities for a period of two to six weeks.

For applicants from France:

In the framework of their PhD thesis, the program provides funding for two mobility grants for students who have French citizenship, enrolled in a PhD program in a doctoral school of the Paris Seine University, and stay for between 4 and 12 months in the United States

The deadline for submitting applications for the 2018-2019 cycle is February 1st, 2018.
A preliminary selection of applications will take place between the end of February and the beginning of March. After this first stage, the chosen applicants will be contacted for interviews at the end of March. The results of the selection process will be given at the end of April/early May.
